A New Era for WE-EF LIGHTING – A Home for Innovation & Customisation

Yesterday, we proudly celebrated a major milestone—the official opening of WE-EF LIGHTING Australia & New Zealand’s new headquarters and Lightbox showroom at 47 Tarnard Drive, Braeside. This marks an exciting new chapter as we commemorate 30 years of WE-EF in Australia and 75 years of WE-EF globally.

A Space for Collaboration, Customisation & Innovation 

Our new headquarters is more than just a facility—it’s a hub for lighting excellence, designed to showcase our commitment to quality, innovation, and locally customised solutions. 

From our lean local assembly cells to efficient supply chain operations, visitors can now experience the full journey of our luminaires—from concept to installation—tailored specifically for the Australian and New Zealand markets. 

At the heart of this facility is the Lightbox, our immersive lighting simulation space, where visitors can see firsthand how WE-EF solutions transform outdoor environments.

Celebrating the Future of Outdoor Lighting

We were honoured to celebrate this occasion with an opening address from Mark Pipunic (MD / Head of Region Australia / New Zealand) followed by lovely speeches by WE-EF Group Global CEO Thiemo Cordes and Cr Sarah O’Donnell from the City of Kingston. We welcomed many special guests, including CTO Petra Denst, Managing Director of WE-EF Thailand John Hart, Sandra George OAM, and our former MD WE-EF Australia / New Zealand Jonathan Cleland.

Also joining us were our valued Sales Partners from every corner of Australia and New Zealand. Many of them have represented WE-EF for over 20 years, playing a vital role in bringing our high-quality, high-performing lighting solutions to market. We extend a heartfelt thank you to our extended WE-EF Family: Buckford Illumination Group, Raylinc Lighting, MHL (Mark Herring Lighting), H.I. Lighting WA, Integral Lighting, Southern Lighting, and Stramac Lighting—your loyalty and dedication have been instrumental to our success.

This new facility is a testament to our passion for lighting, commitment to excellence, and drive to shape the future of outdoor illumination.

A huge thank you to the entire team who made this move possible. Their dedication and hard work ensured a seamless move into our new home. Special thanks also to Wentworth Capital and COTA for helping turn our vision into reality and to the many team players and contractors who helped bring our Lightbox to life.
