Lighting professionals come together to celebrate light after dark in Sydney, NSW.

Words by: WE-EF

Following a successful event in Melbourne in February, it was Sydney’s turn recently to celebrate inspirational lighting projects and products.

On Thursday 21st March, lighting and landscape architecture professionals flocked to the After Dark Product Party, hosted by WE-EF, its sales partner Light Culture and the Australian Institute of Landscape Architects. The event featured guest speakers, live music, a mini photo exhibition of recent WE-EF projects using the FLC200 and a demonstration stand with seven projectors.

House 48, an old heritage building in Chippendale, was the perfect place to showcase the latest optical innovations from WE-EF, including the FLC200 LED projector series and how it can be used to illuminate various textures and surfaces.

Under the theme “Good design is obvious. Great design is transparent” each event was headlined by a project presentation of an After Dark 2018 competition finalist. In Sydney, Perry Lethlean from T.C.L, was on hand to present his firm’s work on the Monash Uni Caulfield Campus, which was a VIC After Dark regional winner. The other special guest speaker was Fred Watson, Australia’s astronomer at large, ABC guest, author and science communicator.

Our huge thank-you goes to those who helped us organise this event and to all our guests!
