Meet Jonathan Cleland, Managing Director at WE-EF Australia New Zealand

While fresh to the lighting industry when he commenced late 2020, Jonno has been impressed by the level of passion in the people across both the internal WE-EF team, our sales partners and clients. In fact, when it comes to what he enjoys most about his role as Managing Director here, he says quite simply ‘the awesome team!’.

While fresh to the lighting industry when he commenced in late 2020, Jonno has been impressed by the level of passion in the people across both the internal WE-EF team, our sales partners and clients. In fact, when it comes to what he enjoys most about his role as Managing Director here, he says quite simply ‘the awesome team!’.

In addition, Jonno is relishing in the interesting projects we are working on and the global journey that the business is on.

Despite being the first to admit he has a lot to learn in the land of lighting, Jonno has a strong background leading premium brands in B2B/B2C businesses in high-end furniture industries, primarily via Designer specification, and with this experience, Jonno is most excited about the opportunity he has here at WE-EF, to be able to make a real difference to the culture and collectively deliver fantastic results.

His most memorable moment so far was the first team BBQ which he felt was quite special and looks forward to hosting many more!

In his free time, Jonno enjoys being a Dad; spending time with his wife and son, their dogs, riding mountain bikes, snowboarding and also flying helicopters. Jonno enjoys travel (when covid permits) and has spent time living interstate and overseas. His favourite country to visit is Italy.

A classic Gemini, Jonno likes everything to be balanced, enjoys being quite structured and organised and describes himself as is a big compartmentaliser! What else is there to know about our leader?
